HANA Endorses Elf Foundation

Washington, D.C.Ñ The Board of Directors of the Home Automation & Networking Association (HANA) voted unanimously January 9, 2001 to endorse the Elf Foundation. The Elf Foundation (www.elffoundation.org) is a non-profit charity organization comprised of consumer and professional electronic dealers, manufacturers, manufacturer's representatives, media and industry organizations, working together for the express purpose of designing and installing entertainment and Internet-based educational systems in Children's Hospitals and ancillary facilities around the country.

The Elf Foundation hopes to install 200 systems in Children's Hospitals and ancillary facilities by the end of 2001. The organization's long-term vision "is to champion kids that are battling life-threatening illnesses and who will become the nation's future leaders. By bringing compassion and empathy through their real-life experiences of overcoming obstacles, we endeavor to provide these special ambassadors with a lasting commitment to changing the world we live in by demonstrating our own industry's belief in their capabilities."
